“The Bluetooth certification listing suggests that the OPPO CPH1919 will have support for 4G LTE networks and the CPH1921 is equipped with 5G support”
OPPO will launch on the the first phones under its new Reno brand on April 10th. Now, two devices, codenamed OPPO CPH1919 and CPH1921 and equipped with Snapdragon 855 SoC, have appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification database. As the OPPO Reno is officially confirmed to be based on the aforementioned chipset, hence it is likely the CPH1919 and CPH1921 might be two variants of the upcoming Reno phone. While the former will work only on 4G LTE networks, the latter will be compatible with 5G networks.
According to the Bluetooth SIG website, the OPPO CPH1919 features a 6.65-inch display having the support for full-HD+ resolution. There is a triple camera setup with 48MP + 8MP + 13MP sensors at the back, while the selfie camera will have 16MP resolution. Apart from these, the software will be Android OS, which will be based on ColorOS v6.0 UI, the listing reveals.
The other variant, OPPO CPH1921, it has the same specifications as that of the CPH1919. As mentioned previously, the main difference between these two is that the former supports for 5G connectivity. This means that the CPH1919 will be equipped with the X24 LTE modem and the CPH1921 handset will have X50 5G modem.
About four days ago, OPPO VP Shen Yiren revealed on Weibo that the Reno phone will have a high screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percent. In a separate post, he has also teased that there will be ‘no holes’ on the front or the rear of the smartphone. In terms of optics, the smartphone is said to have the support for up to 10x hybrid zoom. The battery capacity will be 4,065mAh and it will arrive with the support of VOOC fast charging. Rumours are rife that it will be available in a total of six variants including a Lamborghini Edition with a 50W Super VOOC 4.0 fast charging option for the 5,000mAh battery.
