OPPO Reno phone will have a thin chin and VOOC 3.0, but no wireless charging

OPPO’s new Reno series is scheduled for a debut on April 10th in China and while the release date is still weeks away, a lot of information regarding the flagship phone’s features has been trickling down from official sources. The latest is that the OPPO Reno has very thin bottom bezels and will not feature Super VOOC charging despite mid-range phones like the OPPO R17 Pro boasting the same. OPPO VP Shen Yiren shared a live image of the Reno side-by-side with the Find X in which their bottom bezels were shown off clearly.

As evident from the image, the OPO Reno’s bottom bezels are as thin as the Find X or even smaller. However, it doesn’t sport a curved display like the Find X. The top bezel of the phone has not been revealed yet, thus remains a source of speculation. The rear, on the other hand, has been the subject of numerous leaks and features a triple camera including a 10x lossless zoom technology.

Yiren also shared in a separate post today that Reno will feature VOOC 3.0, which is also inside the OPPO F11 Pro. The tech will decrease charge times by 20.38 percent compared to VOOC but won’t be as fast as Super VOOC. Also, Reno won’t be wireless charge compatible. Yiren also revealed over the weekend that Reno will boast a 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Based on previous info, OPPO Reno will have multiple variants, including an all-out flagship Lamborghini Edition with Snapdragon 855, 10x lossless zoom, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There’s a Snapdragon 710 variant as well and a 5G version too that OPPO will release on launch day. The handset will be available in Fog Green, Pink Mist, Night Black, and Nebula Purple. The launch take place on April 10 in China.
