“OPPO Reno is scheduled to launch April 10th and the variant with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC will come with copper tube liquid cooling heat sink“
OPPO is scheduled to introduce the Reno brand smartphones at an event on April 10th. The trademark filing reveals that there will be at least five variants of Reno and one of which will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, as confirmed by OPPO vice president, Shen Yiren Brian. Other phones in the series are rumoured to be called Reno Pro, Reno Plus, Reno Zoom, Reno Lite, and Reno Youth. The Reno Pro should be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset and now the company’s VP has confirmed that it will feature a copper tube liquid cooling.
The inclusion of copper tube liquid cooling heat sink ensures there won’t be any significant heating issues when the device is put to heavy use. The Reno variant with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 could be the Reno Lite or the Reno Youth, and the Bluetooth SIG certification reveals that it’ll have CPH1917 model number. The handset is expected to sport a 6.4-inch display with full HD+ resolution and will come equipped with a 48MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary shooter. There’s a 16MP shooter on the front. It will have heat-conducting gel and graphite sheet for heat dissipation.
The Pro model could have CPH1919 and CPH1921 model numbers, according to Bluetooth SIG. The Reno Pro is rumoured to sport a 6.65-inch full HD+ display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percent. The handset will have a triple rear camera setup with 48MP + 8MP + 13MP sensors at the back and a 16MP front-facing shooter. The Reno Pro runs on ColorOS v6.0 UI which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. The CPH1921 could be the 5G variant with Qualcomm X50 5G modem. The Reno Zoom variant could come with a 10x lossless zoom focusing on camera capabilities.
With the launch inching closer, we don’t have to wait long to know more details about the Reno branded smartphones. Stay tuned for more details.
