The 2018 entry-level smartphones from Xiaomi, the Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6 Pro, have both received a price cut in India. The Chinese manufacturer has discounted the phones online, but the price cuts are only temporary. If you have been looking at buying either phone, then now would be a great time to do so. Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro prices in India cut
The Xiaomi Redmi 6A is the cheapest Xiaomi phone in the market and it just got even more affordable. The variant with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage is now priced at Rs 6,499. This is a Rs 500 discount off the regular price.
Similarly, the Redmi 6 Pro is now available at a starting price of Rs 8,999. For this money, you can have the variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage is now available for Rs 10,999. This is a Rs 1,000 discount off the original price.
You can head over to Mi.com or Amazon India and purchase the phones with the discounted pricing. If you purchase the Redmi 6A from Mi.com, you can avail a Rs 2,200 cashback offer from Jio and 100GB of extra 4G data. Jio customers who opt for the Redmi 6 Pro will get 4.5TB of additional data. Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro specifications
The Redmi 6A comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display, while the Redmi 6 Pro gets a bigger 5.85-inch FHD+ panel. The 6 Pro also gets a notch at the top and is powered by the Snapdragon 625 processor. The chipset is coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. On the other hand, the Redmi 6A gets a slower MediaTek Helio P22 processor, but gets the same RAM and storage configurations.
Coming to the cameras, both the phones feature the same dual-camera setup at the back, which comprises of a 12-megapixel sensor paired with a 5-megapixel depth unit. For selfies, both phones come with a 5-megapixel sensor. The two devices also feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. In the battery department, the Redmi 6 Pro gets a larger 4,000mAh cell, compared to the 3,000mAh unit on the Redmi 6A.
