“The Samsung Galaxy A60 will follow the footsteps of the Galaxy A50, but ship with a bigger display”
In the past, there have been rumours that Samsung might launch as many as nine smartphones as part of its Galaxy A series. Some of these smartphones were revealed to be Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30 (first impressions), Galaxy A40, Galaxy A50 (first impressions), Galaxy A70, and Galaxy A90. There were also talks of a new phone called the Galaxy A60, which was rumoured to be a toned-down variant of the Galaxy A8s with launch scheduled in April 2019. Now, the latest Galaxy A60 leak has revealed the complete spec sheet of the forthcoming device, leaving nothing to the imagination.
The leak comes from Slashleaks and it appears to be the marketing material for the handset. According to the image, the Galaxy A60 will also come with a similar design as seen on the Galaxy A50, i.e. an Infinity-U display up front and glossy back panel. However, the Super AMOLED screen is said to be slightly larger at 6.7-inches with full HD+ screen resolution. Just like the Galaxy A50, the upcoming smartphone will also feature the in-display fingerprint scanner for security. As for the design, the spec sheet reveals that the Galaxy A60 will flaunt 3D Glasstic construction.
For performance, the image suggests that the upcoming smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon SM6150 SoC. The handset will be offered in two configurations with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. In the camera department, the Galaxy A60 is tipped to come with a 32-megapixel front camera, which is likely to be the in-house Bright ISOCELL GD1 sensor. On the rear is a triple-camera setup similar to Galaxy A50, however, the primary shooter has been upgraded from the 25-megapixel sensor to a 32-megapixel unit. Lastly, a massive 4,500mAh battery rounds up the specifications of the Galaxy A60.
As for the Samsung Galaxy A60 price, the upcoming handset is expected to bridge the gap between the Galaxy A50 and A70. Unfortunately, there’s no word regarding the pricing and availability of the smartphone, and as always, we’d advise you take the leak with a pinch of salt until the smartphone goes official.
