  • Google Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL prices leaked once again
  • “Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL Canadian pricing tipped to be around CAD 649 and CAD 799 respectively”

Much like their elder siblings, the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are all over the news every other day, revealing pretty much everything that is there to know. Latest to join is a leak detailing the Canadian pricing of the phones. According to a Reddit user, the Pixel 3a (Sargo) will cost CAD 649 (~$490) while the bigger Pixel 3a XL (Bonito) is priced at CAD 799 (~$600) for the 64GB storage variant, corroborating with an earlier report. Since it is a carrier pricing, the actual cost of the phones directly from Google might vary a little.

The upcoming mid-range phones were recently listed on Google Play revealing key specifications. According to the listing, the Pixel 3a XL is expected to sport a 6-inch display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels and 400ppi pixel density, while the Pixel 3a packs a smaller 5.6-inch screen. Both the phones are said to pack 4GB of RAM and have 64GB onboard storage. The handsets are rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 670/ 710 chipset.

The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are also likely to retain the similar 12MP camera setup found on the original Pixel 3 series with features like night sight, and HDR+ accounted for. Though reports suggest the phones will run on Android 9.0 Pie, there is a possibility that Google might launch these with Android Q right out of the box. The case renders of the Pixel 3a, and Pixel 3a XL reveal a similar design as the leaked renders, which is expected. The main difference in terms of design is the slightly thick bezels and will have a single front camera. Interestingly enough, the handsets will include the good old 3.5mm audio jack.

There’s a chance that Google might introduce these flagships in the coming weeks, but we don’t have a specific date just yet. Separately, the company is also working on Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL which likely will be launching later this year in October. Stay tuned for further updates.
