    After the last month’s global launch, Huawei’s flagships P30 Lite and P30 Pro (first impressions) have made their way to India. The company took the wraps off the offerings at an event in the country today. The Huawei P30 Pro is a high-end premium smartphone with quad cameras, 7nm mobile platform, and a curved AMOLED screen that integrates an in-display fingerprint sensor and Huawei’s Acoustic technology to replace the earpiece grille. On the other hand, the P30 Lite is a watered down version of the smartphone, with a mid-range chipset and triple rear cameras.

    Huawei P30 Pro, P30 Lite price in India

    The Huawei P30 Pro price in India has been set at Rs 71,990 and the handset comes in  8GB + 256GB configuration. The device comes in Aurora and Breathing Crystal colour options and goes on sale in the country via Amazon.in from April 15th for Prime members and April 16th for all customers, while Croma stores will get the handset from April 19th. Buyers can get the Huawei Watch GT, worth Rs 15,990, by paying an additional Rs 2,000.

    As for the P30 Lite, the handset comes with a price tag of Rs 19,990 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option and Rs 22,990 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. It will also be exclusive to Amazon.in (April 25th for Prime users and April 26th for all buyers) and Croma stores (April 26th) in Midnight Black and Peacock Blue colours. Jio customers will get benefits worth Rs 2,200 on Rs 198 and Rs 299 recharges with both the phones.

    Starting with the Huawei P30 Pro, the phone boasts of its rear camera setup, which is Leica-certified and consists of as many as four sensors. The main sensor is Huawei’s SuperSpectrum sensor with a whopping 40-megapixel resolution and f/1.2 aperture lens. It’s paired with a 20-megapixel (f/2.2) ultra-wide angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a Time-of-Flight (ToF) lens for depth-of-field effect. The front camera gets an impressive 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The cameras are further backed by Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and OIS and AIS to enhance the images. The smartphone is said to offer 5X optical zoom, 10X hybrid zoom, and 50X digital zoom.

    The phone features a 6.47-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution and a U-shaped dewdrop notch up top. The panel is also home to fingerprint sensor and Huawei’s Acoustic technology instead of an earpiece. The Huawei P30 Pro is driven by HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset, which is paired with dual NPUs and up to 8GB of RAM. The handset comes with three different storage variants, which starts from 128GB and goes up to 512GB. Other features include Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 and a 4,200mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge fast-charging tech, 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless feature.

    The Huawei P30 Lite, on the other hand, also come pre-loaded with Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 but is driven by HiSilicon Kirin 710 mobile platform. The SoC is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage with support for microSD card. On the display front, the handset features a 6.15-inch full-HD+ 2.5D curved glass LCD display with 1,080 x 2,312 pixels resolution and dewdrop notch up top.

    For photography, the P30 Lite rocks 24-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture + an 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide angle + a 2-megapixel third depth sensor with LED flash. The front camera relies on a 32-megapixel (f/2.0) shooter for selfies and video calling. The camera gets support from Huawei’s AI algorithm, AR stickers, and Google Lens-like feature that can identify objects.

    The handset also packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, an ‘image recording’ feature, GPU Turbo 2.0 for gaming, and connectivity options such as dual 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C support. The entire setup is run by a 3,340mAh battery with fast charging.
