  • Android Authority | OnePlus 7 Pro used for photos in India magazine, supposedly unedited
  • OnePlus 7 launch event poster

The latest issue of Harper's Bazaar in India features British actress Jameela Jamil, probably best known as the character Tahani Al-Jamil on NBC's The Good Place. The interesting thing about the photos used for the cover and for the corresponding story is that they were all shot on the as-yet-unreleased OnePlus 7 Pro.

According to Harper's Bazaar, the photos used in the magazine are "not filtered or digitally altered."

Harper's Bazaar tweeted out the cover photo as well as a statement about using the OnePlus 7 Pro to create it. Check it out below:

This isn't the first time a magazine has used a smartphone to shoot cover stories — both Google Pixel phones and Apple iPhones have been used for magazine shoots in the past.

    Editor's Pick

However, this magazine shoot is notable for OnePlus as the company's smartphone cameras are usually dinged for not being as good as flagship competitors. Between this cover shoot announcement, the news that the 7 Pro will come with 3x optical zoom, and the addition of a third lens on the rear of the device, it's clear OnePlus is gunning to shed its reputation as the creator of just so-so cameras.

Check out some other shots from the Harper's Bazaar shoot below:
