Xiaomi turned the cost-effective Redmi range into its own sub-brand a few months back, and the firm has been hard at work on its first flagship. Now, the brand has teased a few details about this first high-end release.
Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain took to Twitter to congratulate OnePlus for its OnePlus 7 launch. But Jain added that the "flagship killer 2.0" was on the way.
Congratulations @OnePlus team!
There's a new flagship in town.

The image also highlights several characters in red, revealing the K20 name in the process. The Redmi K20 moniker was also confirmed by the brand's Weibo account, in case you need more proof of the device's name.
Furthermore, the Twitter image also reveals the number "855," alluding to the flagship-level Snapdragon 855 chipset. Between the flagship killer tagline and Xiaomi's reputation, don't be surprised if this is one of the cheapest Snapdragon 855 phones out there.
Other likely specs include a 48MP rear camera and a pop-up selfie camera. Redmi teased an all-new 48MP phone on Twitter this week, while the pop-up camera was spotted in an official promotional video on Weibo.
