“Dual Bluetooth audio feature would allow users to listen to music from the iPhone by connecting to two wireless earphones simultaneously”
Rumours surrounding the iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max and the second generation iPhone XR 2019 are all over the place. It is reported the handsets are said to feature triple rear cameras, reverse wireless charging support and more. Now, according to a report from Mactakara, citing supply chain sources, Apple will reportedly add dual Bluetooth audio support in future iPhones. This feature would allow users to listen to music from the same handset by connecting two audio devices simultaneously, as opposed to the current arrangement where iPhones only support one at a time. However, the report said supply chain sources were not certain which iPhone models will get this feature first.
The feature is already available on quite a few Android phones, and the functionality isn’t very accurate, given their synchronisation issues. So, it remains to be seen how Apple would perfect it. Given that dual Bluetooth audio is a Bluetooth 5.0 feature, Apple might add support to older iPhones through a software update. Furthermore, rumours suggest that 2019 iPhones will continue to feature a 5.8-inch display for the standard variant and a larger 6.5-inch screen on the Max model. Thanks to Face ID improvements, these are said to rock slightly thinner bezels than the current models and reduced notch sizes. The A13 chipset could power the 2019 iPhones and they would run on iOS 13 out of the box.
It is also believed that Apple would be sticking to the Lighting connector and could come bundled with an 18W fast-charging adaptor in the box, which is a relief. Notably, the upcoming iPhone could also include larger battery capacities, reverse wireless charging ability, and more. The triangular triple camera setup on the rear consists of a standard RGB sensor, an ultra-wide angle unit, and a telephoto unit; all three are said to be 12MP sensors made by Sony. The front camera is also said to be upgraded to a 12MP selfie snapper. The 2019 iPhones are expected to be announced later this year around September.
