Upon completing its one year anniversary, Realme has permanently slashed the price of the Realme 2 Pro (review) smartphone in India. Retail sources have tipped 91mobiles that the handset is now available with up to Rs 1,000 price drop in the country. This is the second price cut for the Realme 2 Pro in as many months. The phone can now be purchased at Rs 11,490 instead of its previous MOP of Rs 11,990 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option. Similarly, the 6GB + 64GB variant can now be picked up for Rs 12,990, down from Rs 13,990. Lastly, the 8GB + 128GB variant at Rs 14,990 instead of Rs 15,990.
The price cut seems to be for the offline market. In the online market though, users can benefit from Realme’s 1st anniversary sale, where the Realme 2 Pro is available at a starting price of Rs 10,990 that goes up to Rs 14,990. This online offer is valid until May 4th.

To recall, the Realme 2 Pro ships with a 6.3-inch waterdrop-notch display that bears full HD+ resolution. The handset is driven by Qualcomm’s fairly respectable Snapdragon 660 mobile platform, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB user-expandable storage. For photography, the phone rocks 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor with 6P lens and an aperture of f/1.7 + 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor setup on the back. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The Realme 2 Pro runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS out of the box and houses a 3,500mAh battery. For security, you get a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
