“An alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 10 camera module hints that the setup might look similar to that of the Huawei P30 Pro”
It’s been rumoured since a couple of months that the Galaxy Note 10 will be an iterative upgrade, mostly aligning with the current Galaxy S10 series in many aspects. That’s mostly true about previous Note series devices but there could be some changes in the camera placement this time. As rumoured earlier, Samsung is likely to shift to a vertical camera setup instead of the horizontal module on the S10. However, a new tweet by tipster Ice Universe shows signs that the vertical camera might be offset from the centre and possibly be placed on the top left corner instead of the middle.
The well-known tipster has shown the rear camera module that shows three lenses stacked vertically and another one on the right side which could be a TOF sensor completing the quad camera setup. Now, it’s also worth noting that there are no definitive signs that this is a Galaxy Note 10 module but the tipster thinks it is so. Since the Galaxy Note 10 is believed to be getting a bigger 4,500mAh battery a camera module placed on the side makes more sense as that would make room for the bigger power cell. In fact, a render based on the latest leaks shows exactly how the next-generation Note smartphone will look and it depicts a camera very similar to Huawei’s P series flagship phone. However, it’s still not clear whether this will be the case for the bigger Galaxy Note 10.
Either way, it’s still too early to tell what Samsung is planning for the camera of the Galaxy Note 10. Based on current reports, two models are expected which include a huge 6.75-inch version and a 6.2-inch non-Pro version. Some recent reports confirmed UFS 3.0 storage for the phablet and even reported faster than 25W charging. The Galaxy Note phones usually launch around the September-October time frame. Expect a lot more information to trickle in before that happens.
