Did you tweet something memorable? Something funny? Something newsworthy? Have an announcement to make? Why not make that tweet the first thing people see on your Twitter profile by pinning it? Here's the good news: Twitter lets you pin any of your tweets to the top of your profile page. Better yet, there's no limit as to how long it can stay there — I have a pinned tweet from over three years ago, which is a bit sad.

Keep in mind that you can't pin someone else's tweet or retweets to your profile. There's a workaround for this, but here's hoping for official support from Twitter down the line. Until then, here's how to pin a tweet on Twitter.

How to pin a tweet on Twitter for Android

1. Open the Twitter app.
2. Tap your profile icon on the top left.
3. Tap Profile.
4. Swipe to any of your tweets you want pinned.
5. Tap the More symbol on the top right of your tweet.
6. Tap Pin to profile, then Pin in the pop-up message.

Pinning a tweet also replaces any tweet you already had pinned. As mentioned, there's no way to pin someone else's tweet. However, there's a simple workaround — take a screenshot of someone else's tweet, publish the screenshot on your profile, and pin your tweet.

How to pin a tweet on Twitter for iOS

1. Open the Twitter app.
2. Tap your profile icon on the top right.
3. Tap Profile.
4. Swipe to any of your tweets you want pinned.
5. Tap the More icon on the top right of your tweet.
6. Tap Pin to your profile, then Pin in the pop-up message.

How to pin a tweet on Twitter in the browser

1. Navigate to the Twitter website.
2. Click Profile on the left-most menu.
3. Scroll to one of your tweets.
4. Click the More icon on the top right of the tweet.
5. Click Pin to your profile, then click Pin in the pop-up message.
