  • Google Pixel 4 series leaked screen protectors reveal sensors for possible hand gestures support
  • “The Pixel 4 series phones are expected to come with slimmer bezels than their predecessors”

Google Pixel 4 series’ alleged screen protectors have been leaked in some live images. The photos highlight the top bezel of the upcoming Google flagships. They show that the Pixel 4 series smartphones will have an additional cutout in the top bezel, apart from the holes for the dual selfie cameras, the earpiece and other sensors. While the source hasn’t mentioned anything about the additional cutout, it is being speculated to house the sensors that will support hand gestures. Notably, the Pixel 4 series screen protectors suggest that the handsets will come with an extremely narrow bottom bezel, which is in line with the earlier leaked 5K renders and 360-degree videos of the phones.

However, the Google Pixel 4 series leaked screen protectors indicate that the new Google flagships will have a wider top bezel and chin than the competitors like the Galaxy S10 and OnePlus 7 series. The additional sensors onboard the phones could offer hand gestures functionality, possibly like the ones on the LG G8 ThinQ flagship. Notably, the leaked photos also suggest that the new Google Pixels will feature a dual-edged curved screen. Unfortunately, no other details have been revealed by the source regarding the upcoming flagships.

Most recently, a report suggested that the Google Pixel 4 will have a screen resolution of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels, while the Pixel 4 XL will feature a screen resolution of 3,040 x 1,440p. Both are said to come with 6GB of RAM and one of the variants will have 128GB of storage. The reports indicate that the new Pixels will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 processor and boot Android Q out of the box. The colour variants are expected to include Mint Green, White, and Blue. Sadly, the pricing and availability details are unknown at the moment. The company is expected to unveil the new handsets at some point in October.
