“These are the top smartphones available in India with 2GB or more RAM, but cost under Rs 7,000”
There’s an abundance of budget smartphones available in India from brands such as Xiaomi, OPPO, Realme, ASUS, Coolpad, and others. However, in the sub-Rs 7,000 bracket, there aren’t many smartphones that have enough RAM and storage to run multiple apps simultaneously. If you were looking for such a device, then you have come to the right place. In this list, you will find smartphones that have 2GB or more RAM, and are priced under Rs 7,000.
Realme C2
In such a short span of time, Realme has become a force to reckon with. The Realme C2 is the most affordable phone in the brand’s stables. It features a 6.1-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the top. The phone is powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, which is coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. There’s also a 3GB RAM+32GB variant, but that will cost you about Rs 1,000 more. On the back, the C2 features a dual-camera setup with a main 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2MP depth unit. For selfies, there’s a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The phone comes with a 4,000mAh battery. However, it does lack a fingerprint scanner, though you do get face unlock functionality.

Redmi 7A
The Redmi 7A is the latest budget smartphone from Xiaomi and it comes with 2GB RAM and up to 32GB storage. Both variants of the phone are priced below Rs 7,000, as part of the introductory offer. The handset features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and bezels all around. It is powered by the Snapdragon 439 processor, which is an octa-core chipset. The smartphone is equipped with a single 12-megapixel Sony IMX 486 sensor, and a 5MP shooter at the front for capturing selfies. Like the Realme C2, the Redmi 7A also gets a large 4,000mAh battery, while missing out on the fingerprint reader.

The Coolpad Cool 3 Plus comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, which is more RAM than the phones mentioned above. The smartphone comes with a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a U-shaped notch at the top. It’s powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 processor. The Cool 3 Plus features a single rear camera with a resolution of 13-megapixel. For selfies, an 8-megapixel sensor is available at the front. The device has a 3,000mAh battery and it also gets a fingerprint scanner at the back.
ASUS ZenFone Max M1
The ASUS ZenFone Max M1, despite being more than a year old, is still great value for money. The phone features 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display without any notch, but that means that there are thick bezels on the top and bottom. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 430 chipset. In the camera department, the phone has a single 13-megapixel camera at the back, and an 8-megapixel selfie unit up front. The device gets fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging and can also charge other devices via the USB cable. A fingerprint scanner is available at the back of the device.
