Update: August 5, 2019 at 5:38 a.m. ET: The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are now readily available on open sale. The phones can be purchased on both Mi.com and Flipkart as well as offline retailers. Check them out via the links below!

The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro might be the most eagerly anticipated Xiaomi devices in India in quite some time, and the manufacturer has finally launched the phones in the market today.

Both phones offer a 20MP pop-up selfie camera, 4,000mAh battery, 6.39-inch OLED screen (full HD+) with in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 48MP triple rear camera setup. Other shared specs include USB-C, a 3.5mm port, and NFC.

The Redmi K20 Pro might be the star attraction here, serving up a Snapdragon 855 processor, and 27 watt fast charging. Meanwhile, the standard K20 delivers a Snapdragon 730 chipset, and 18 watt charging.

The two phones also share a similar triple rear camera setup, featuring a 48MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide snapper (124.8 degree FOV), and an 8MP 2x telephoto shooter. However, the Pro variant uses the Sony IMX586 48MP sensor, while the standard model offers the IMX582 sensor. It's reported that the IMX582 sensor doesn't support 4K/60fps video recording like the IMX586.

The phones will be available via the Mi India website, Mi Home stores, as well as Flipkart from July 22 at midday.

Xiaomi held a so-called Alpha Sale earlier this month, with users guaranteed access to the device if they put down an 855 rupee (~$12) deposit. Missed out on this reservation promotion? Then you'll just have to be quick on the draw if you want to secure a device.

The Redmi K20 series Indian launch also comes as the Realme X hits the market. The Realme device starts at 16,999 rupees (~$245) for the 4GB/128GB model, and offers a Snapdragon 710 chipset, 16MP pop-up selfie camera, OLED screen with in-display fingerprint sensor, and a 48MP+5MP rear camera combo.
