  • Android Authority | New Google Assistant on Pixel 4 tipped to arrive in these markets first
  • Google Pixel 4 XL running the new Google AssistantNextRift

The new Google Assistant was one of the highlights of Google I/O 2019 back in May, allowing for faster, more seamless commands and answers than ever before.

Google is expected to bring the new Assistant to its Pixel 4 phones first, but where will it be available though? According to 9to5Google, the upgraded virtual assistant is coming to four markets.

The outlet says the new Google Assistant is first launching in the US on the new Pixel phones, but adds that it's also "coming soon" to Canada, Singapore, and the UK.

This limited launch is presumably so it can ensure that English support is polished before it works on support for more languages. It isn't the first time Google served up a limited launch either, as the legacy Google Assistant first launched in Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US.

This isn't the only Android feature from Google I/O 2019 that hasn't launched yet, as we're still waiting for the release of Live Caption. Google touted Live Caption for Android 10, but devices with Android 10 haven't received this feature yet. So you have to assume that the functionality will debut on the Pixel 4 before spreading to third-party phones too.

How else would you improve the Google Assistant? Let us know in the comments section.
