Realme X2 Pro smartphone has been slated to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC ticking at its core. Now, the company has confirmed that the phone will have another high-end feature, i.e. 90Hz refresh rate display. Realme’s Chief Product Officer Dereck Wang shared a post with a screenshot on Weibo, which says “here’s a little gift for National Day #X2Pro.” The image attached showed the settings menu of what is believed to be Realme X2 Pro, which had the option for users to toggle between 60Hz and 90Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, the screenshot can be seen the black background, which means that Realme X2 Pro may come with a system-wide dark theme mode as well.

The Realme X2 Pro could be the cheapest phone with 90Hz display.

The Realme X2 Pro could take the coveted tag of ‘the cheapest smartphone with 90Hz display’ from OnePlus. Wang has been teasing the 90Hz refresh rate for a while now. He previously posted that Realme could soon join the bandwagon of 90Hz display phones, and it’ll be cheaper than the OnePlus 7 Pro, which retails at Rs 48,999. The Realme X2 Pro is likely to compete against Xiaomi’s Redmi K20 Pro smartphone in the affordable flagship segment.

The Realme X2 Pro will have Snapdragon 855 SoC ticking at its core.

The Redmi K20 Pro was recently refreshed in China with a new Snapdragon 855 Plus model. The handset is being dubbed as Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition and is said to offer better performance than the regular K20 Pro, which rocks Snapdragon 855 SoC. The phone features a truly bezel-less AMOLED display, which lacks 90Hz refresh rate but bears full-HD+ resolution and in-display fingerprint scanner. The Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition has pop-up selfie camera design, 48MP triple-rear camera setup at the back, and Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 11 to take care of the software side of things.

The entire setup is driven by 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. The Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition price in China starts at RMB 2,699 that roughly translates to Rs 27,200 in the Indian currency.
