If you gave Black Friday a miss in the hope of waiting for the January sales to pick up some cheap tech we've got good news for you.

January is still a day away but there have already been some good discounts on Apple AirPod headphones.

The wireless earbuds are a huge draw for anyone with an iOS device because of their portability and ease of use. Normally you'd be looking at £160 for a pair of regular AirPods (not the recently-released AirPods Pro) in a non-wireless charging case.

Amazon has dropped that price down to £130.48 and has also reduced the AirPods with a wireless charging case from £200 to £158.99.

That's not even the best deal, though. Online outlet Laptops Direct has dropped the original AirPods with a non-wireless charging case down to £124.97 – saving you £35 on the original price.

Given how infrequently Apple gadgets get discounts, we're hoping this is an omen for a wallet-friendly 2020.

Of course, the standout products are still the premium AirPods Pro, which are still £249 over at Apple. But at least they'll let you get them engraved for free.
