    Like everyone else, smartphone makers are also facing a tough time working during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. With a 21-day lockdown in India, brands like Realme, Xiaomi and Vivo have announced that they will not be launching any upcoming smartphones. Phones like the Narzo 10 series, Mi 10 and Vivo V19 were expected to launch over the next few days, but have now been cancelled. These brands have also suspended production of smartphones in the country and are focusing their time and efforts in offering support to the Indian government by donating masks to doctors and healthcare professional. Realme, Xiaomi and Vivo are expected to announce new launch dates for the Narzo 10 series, Mi 10 and Vivo V19 after the 21-day lockdown ends. Until then, here’s a look at the smartphones that were expected to launch in India this month.

    Vivo V19

    Vivo has not only cancelled its Vivo V19 launch in India, which was supposed to happen today, i.e. March 26th, but the company has also announced that it won’t be announcing any new products in the country for now. There is no tentative date for the Vivo V19 India launch yet, but we’re hoping to see it as soon as the situation normalises. The mid-range smartphone was rumoured to launch in India with a starting price of Rs 26,990.

    As for the specifications, the Vivo V19 India variant was to come with a dual punch-hole cameras and Snapdragon 712 SoC. The phone was also tipped to sport a 6.44-inch FHD+ Dual iView E3 Super AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 409ppi, 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The handset is said to house a 4,500mAh battery and support 33W Vivo Flash Charge 2.0. The phone was said to feature quad-rear cameras with 48MP main sensor, an 8MP super wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. As for the selfies, it would have featured a 32MP main sensor and an 8MP wide-angle lens. 

    Realme Narzo 10, Narzo 10A specifications

    Realme called off the Realme Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A India launch event that was also supposed to take place on March 26th. Realme Narzo is a brand new series from the company that is rumoured to slot in between the Realme C series and Realme 6 series. The two phones in the lineup are teased to come with powerful performance at affordable prices.

    The Realme Narzo 10 series could be first smartphone in India with MediaTek Helio G80 SoC.

    The Realme Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A was confirmed to launch with a 6.5-inch display with 89.8 percent screen-to-body ratio and teardrop notch atop, 5,000mAh battery, and fast charging support. The teaser posters revealed that Realme Narzo 10 will feature quad rear cameras with a 48MP primary sensor, while the Narzo 10A to rock triple cameras at the back. Both the phones were expected to run Android 10 with Realme UI custom skin on top and sport a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

    Mi 10 series

    Xiaomi became the third victim of the coronavirus lockdown as it had to cancel the Mi 10 India launch on March 31st. The handset, which is expected to be the company’s first flagship to go official in India in a long time, will now be launched on a “revised date” that is yet to be finalised. The Mi 10 is Xiaomi’s flagship offering that comes with a curved 6.67-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080 × 2,340 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera.

    Xiaomi Mi 10

    The Mi 10 is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage. It runs Android 10 with MIUI 11 custom skin overlaid on top. The smartphone features a quad rear camera setup that includes an impressive 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX primary sensor. The handset also features a 20MP selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint scanner, 4,780mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support, and connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ Galileo, and USB Type-C port.
