The flagship iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have become more expensive in India by up to Rs 1,300. The more affordable iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have also seen a price hike in the country. This move by Apple is due to an increase in the Basic Custom Duty (BCD) and the withdrawal of Social Welfare Surcharge, which were announced during the 2020 Union Budget. While the prices are already reflecting on the official Apple India website, e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon and Flipkart have not hiked the prices yet. It should also be noted that the popular Apple smartphones such as iPhone 11 and XR, as well as gadgets such as Apple Watch, iPad, Mac computers have not seen a price hike.

With this new move by Apple, the iPhone 11 Pro 64GB price in India has increased from Rs 99,900 to Rs 1,01,200. Similarly, its 256GB and 512GB variants are up from Rs 1,13,900 and Rs 1,31,900 to Rs 1,15,200 and Rs 1,33,200, respectively. As for the iPhone 11 Pro Max prices in India, the 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB options are now priced at Rs 1,11,200, Rs 1,25,200, and Rs 1,43,200, up from Rs 1,09,900, Rs 1,23,900, and Rs 1,41,900, respectively.
Moving on to the iPhone 8 prices in India, the 64GB variant now costs Rs 40,500 instead of Rs 39,900, whereas the 128GB option is available at Rs 45,500 versus Rs 44,900 till yesterday. Lastly, the iPhone 8 Plus 64GB and 128GB prices in India have been hiked from Rs 49,900 and Rs 54,900 to Rs 50,600 and Rs 55,600, respectively. It should be noted that these iPhone models are seldom sold at their official prices – especially for the older models – but we should nonetheless expect a corresponding increase in their prices, both online and offline.
