Redmi Note 9 series will launch globally on April 30th, Xiaomi has confirmed. The online launch event is expected to see the launch of a few new smartphones in the Redmi Note 9 series. To recall, the company has already launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max in India, and the Redmi Note 9s in Malaysia. It is being speculated that the upcoming event will see the launch of the regular Redmi Note 9, which could be a rebranded Redmi 10X, and the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The tweet by Xiaomi does not reveal anything about the products the company plans to announce, but the captions reads “Get ready to meet the newest members of the Redmi Note 9 series.”
Redmi Note 9 series launch date

Not much is known about the vanilla Redmi Note 9 smartphone. However, if the phone is indeed a rebranded Redmi 10X, then we do have something to go on. The Redmi 10X is widely expected to launch in China soon and has been spotted on a Chinese retailer website with specifications and renders.
By the looks of it, the Redmi 10X will look similar to the Redmi Note Pro, but will offer some downgraded specifications. This is why we believe that the phone will launch globally as the Redmi Note 9. As per past renders, the Redmi 10X will sport a single punch-hole cutout and a quad camera setup on the back in a rectangular module similar to what we have seen on the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
The Redmi 10X is said to be the world’s first phone with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. MediaTek is yet to announce the processor, but it could do so just before the launch event. The quad rear camera setup is expected to include a 48MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens and two 2MP sensor. The smartphone may house a 5,020mAh battery and run on Android 10 out of the box. While these specifications are of the Redmi 10X, they could be the same for the Redmi Note 9.
