OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro will go on sale in India starting May 29th. The company confirmed the OnePlus 8 series sale date through its Red Cable Club community where it also announced some bank offers and that the limited edition OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro pop-up bundles will be available exclusively for Red Cable Club members a day early on May 28th. The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro smartphones were launched exactly a month ago, both globally and in India. The pair come with specifications like the Snapdragon 865 chipset, 5G support, and a punch-hole AMOLED display with high refresh rate. Notably, the Pro model is the brand’s first phone to support wireless charging and IP68 water resistance.

OnePlus 8 price in India starts at Rs 41,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage option. This variant is exclusively available on Amazon. The 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are priced at Rs 44,999 and Rs 49,999, respectively. OnePlus 8 Pro comes in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB models that are priced at Rs 54,999 and Rs 59,999. The pop-up bundles for these devices include a pair of OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z and a couple of bumper cases for just Rs 1,000 more. The devices will be available on Amazon India, OnePlus.in and through offline retail stores.
The company has also revealed some launch offers. These include Rs 3000 instant discount on OnePlus 8 Pro and Rs 2000 instant discount on OnePlus 8 5G on purchase using SBI credit cards, up to 12 months No Cost EMI on OnePlus.in and Amazon if you purchase using popular bank credit or debit cards, Jio benefits worth Rs 6,000, and more.

OnePlus 8 features a 6.55-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate while the Pro model gets a 6.78-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a higher 120Hz screen refresh rate. Both the phones are powered by the Snapdragon 865 5G processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. They also run on Android 10 with the latest OxygenOS out of the box.
The OnePlus 8 sports a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The OnePlus 8 Pro gets a quad camera setup that includes a 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor, a 48MP wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto lens and a 5MP colour filter. Both the phones get a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies.
The vanilla OnePlus 8 houses a 4,300mAh battery and supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging, while the Pro model houses a bigger 4,510mAh battery and supports 30W fast wired and wireless charging. Connectivity options for the phones include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C.
