  • Highlights
    • Realme wireless charger was teased to launch alongside the Realme Buds Air in December
    • The wireless charger may come with the proprietary VOOC charging solution
    • Realme wireless charger price in India is yet to be announced

When Realme announced the Realme Buds Air truly wireless earphones in December, the company had also teased that a wireless charging pad would come soon. It’s been six months since the launch and fans are still wondering on when the wireless charger will release in India. Well, we finally have an answer from Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, who in the latest episode of #AskMadhav Q&A session on YouTube, confirmed that the Realme wireless charger will launch later this month. The wireless charger will be for the Realme Buds Air as it is the only product from the brand that supports wireless charging.

Not much is known about the Realme wireless charger at the moment, but a teaser image back in December tells us it will be a circular pad. It might come with the proprietary VOOC charging solution, meaning if it doesn’t also support power delivery (P.D), the support to other phones might be limited. However, the executive hasn’t revealed if it would come with fast wireless charger and other details just yet.

During the same episode, Madhav confirmed yet again the Realme Q earbuds will be launching in India very soon and will be priced under 2,000 to take on the Realme Earbuds S. These were announced in China back in May and come with 10mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity and IPX4 rating. Each earbud houses 40mAh battery, while the charging case offers 400mAh capacity. The Realme Buds Q are expected to launch alongside the Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom on June 25th

Talking about updates, the Realme India CEO said multiple notifications on Realme Watch is under works and will be pushed via an OTA update soon. As for quick replies, the functionality is being evaluated at the moment. Realme C2 Android 10 updated based on Realme UI will be rolled out in September. Lastly, Madhav Sheth confirmed the flagship Realme TV 55-inch model will be launching in the country in July and this should be a costlier model than the existing offerings.
