Samsung India has announced that its Exclusive Stores across India have been ‘Suraksha’ certified to ensure consumer safety during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The South Korean tech giant says the ‘Suraksha’ certified stores will ensure that consumers feel safe and confident when they visit. Suraksha Store is a public-private initiative to ensure a safe and secure environment for consumers and store employees. The company also mentioned it will only allow a limited number of customers at any given point to avoid crowding.

Mohandeep Singh, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India, said, “For Samsung, consumers are at the core of everything we do. We launched a massive initiative to ensure that our Exclusive Stores across the country become Suraksha certified stores. Our initiative will ensure that consumers and employees working at these Exclusive Stores feel confident about their wellbeing and safety. Samsung remains committed to stand with the people in its fight against this pandemic and limit its spread by the implementation of Suraksha measures across all Exclusive Stores.”

Samsung India has mentioned that it has sanitised all its Exclusive Stores before opening to consumers and sanitisers have been made mandatory for Samsung Experience consultants at all touchpoints, especially at the entry and exit doors of the stores. Samsung Experience Consultants have also been trained to follow hygiene and safety advisories. It is encouraging customers to use digital contactless payments and swiping machines will be sanitised before handing over to the customer to ensure the highest standard of hygiene.

Samsung recently unveiled a new digital platform to let customers buy smartphones online from nearby offline stores. Samsung has also partnered with Facebook to help offline retailers go digital and the company made its Finance+ service accessible directly from customer’s home.
