MTN Bumps its Night Plan Data limit, fair 2GB usage now applies

MTN Nigeria has again reviewed its data plan offerings for about the infinite time this year but this time it is all about their night plan subscription.

Having caused a stir earlier in the year with the reduction in the amount of browsing data it offers subscribers; from a NGN25 charge for 500MB to half of that; they seem to be doing so again but all for the good reasons this time. This resulted in users using multiple SIM cards to get through a single night subscription.

However, the new change means users can now accumulate and use a maximum of 2GB for the night without switching SIMs anymore.Before you can access all the crippled night plan though you have to be not only an MTN subscriber but also on their MTN pulse plan.

How to Subscribe to MTN 2GB Night Plan Data

MTN Pulse nightlife plan as we all know offers some pretty decent data plan which are
500MB for N50 and 250MB for N25.Some of the changes to the new review includes a change to the night plan timing.

Unlike the old timing which ensures you get to the use the data from 12:00AM to 5:00AM each night, MTN new Night Plan can now be activated from 11:00PM and will expire at 6:00PM.Also, subscribers can now use a total of 2GB data every night on the MTN nightlife plan for any MTN SIM registered on MTN pulse.

This means, instead of the single 500MB and 250MB data subscription which can be done twice and four times respectively, you can now subscribe to the 500MB plan four times, which is a total of 2GB for N200, while you can subscribe to the 250MB eight times which will also give a total of 2GB for N200 as well.

To activate and use MTN night plan on MTN pulseStep 1: Dial *406# (Select 1 to migrate to MTN Pulse)

Step 2: After migration, select the 3rd option and chose any subscription of choice

Step 3: To check your data balance, dial *131*4# on your MTN SIM

Step 4: Repeat the entire process above until you amass up to 2GB for the night
