  • Redmi K30 Ultra and Mi 10 Ultra will not launch globally, Xiaomi confirms
  • Highlights
    • Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra will be restricted to China and won’t debut globally
    • The handsets will not be rebranded under the company’s POCO line-up as well

Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra flagships were unveiled at an event in China yesterday. The former ships with 120x zoom and 120W fast-charging support, while the latter comes with a 120Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 1000+ SoC and 5G connectivity. These are high-end phones with exciting specifications at affordable prices, particularly the Redmi K30 Ultra. Unfortunately, it looks like the Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra will be restricted to China and are not going to be released globally, a Xiaomi executive told GSMArena. The handsets will not be rebranded under the POCO brand as well. Considering what the flagships offer for the asking price, it’s a shame that these devices will be limited to China.

    Redmi K30 Ultra specifications

The Redmi K30 Ultra sports a 6.77-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 1,800×2,400 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ video playback, and 100 percent DCI-P3. It powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. There is 5G connectivity and runs on Android 10 OS with MIUI custom skin on top. Mi 10 Ultra specifications

Mi 10 Ultra flaunts a 6.67-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and in-display fingerprint scanner. It is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage onboard. The quad-camera setup includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 20MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP portrait sensor, and a telephoto snapper with 120x ultra-zoom. There is a 20MP shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery and supports a whopping 120W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The handset runs Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 on top.
