“The new mid-range smartphones from LG will include features such as DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, AI CAM and MIL-STD 810G Compliance”
LG has announced that it will be launching three new smartphones during Mobile World Congress 2019. The new phones belong to the mid-range Q and K series. The LG Q60, K50 and the K40 will be unveiled at the event. However, the pricing and availability of these devices haven’t been announced yet.
LG Q60 specifications
The LG Q60 is the best phone out of the three new launches. It features a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a tiny notch at the top. The phone is powered by an unknown octa-core processor, which is paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. A microSD card slot is available to add more storage.
For taking pictures, the Q60 features a triple-rear camera setup with a primary 16-megapixel sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and another 5-megapixel super wide angle unit. On the front, there’s a 13-megapixel camera for taking selfies and video calling. A 3,500mAh battery powers the phone. It also gets a rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
LG K50 specifications
The first of the new K series smartphone shares some features with the LG Q60. It has the same 6.26-inch HD+ display with a tiny drop, but with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone also comes with a 3,500mAh battery and an octa-core processor, same as the Q60. Both phones feature a similar design as well.
There are some differences though. For example, the K50 has a dual-rear camera setup instead of a triple camera setup. It features a 13-megapixel sensor paired with a 2-megapixel depth unit. For selfies, there’s another 13-megapixel sensor placed inside the notch. The phone gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card.
