Samsung has finally unveiled the new Galaxy S10 series, with the Galaxy S10e as the entry-level model in the new flagship lineup. There is no official word regarding what the ‘E’ stands for, but it certainly doesn’t mean enormous. In this post, we will be comparing the Galaxy S10e flagship smartphone from Samsung with the OnePlus 6T (review) and iPhone XR (review). The OnePlus 6T has been one of the best selling phones of 2018 and the iPhone XR did quite well too, but how will the Samsung Galaxy S10e stack up against these two on paper? Let’s find out.

Now, let’s discuss the specifications of the three phones. The Samsung Galaxy S10e, even though it’s the cheapest of the new S10 series, is no slouch. It is equipped with the same processor as the standard Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus. The phone in India will come with the Exynos 9820 chipset. You can choose between 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of onboard storage. A microSD card slot is also available in case you want to add more.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 6T features last years Snapdragon 845 chipset, which is still good enough for anything you throw at it. You can also get the McLaren addition of the phone, which has 10GB of RAM. In terms of performance, both devices should be at par. The iPhone XR features Apple’s latest A12 Bionic chipset, but only gets 3GB of RAM. However, you will not face any multi-tasking issues with the iPhone thanks to the excellent RAM management and optimisations of iOS.

Coming to the cameras, both the Galaxy S10e and the OnePlus 6T feature dual-rear cameras. The iPhone XR comes with just one 12-megapixel camera at the back, but it is a really good one. It also has a 7-megapixel front facing camera. On the Samsung model, you will find a primary 12-megapixel sensor with OIS paired with an ultra-wide 16-megapixel unit, at the back. On the front, a 10-megapixel sensor is available for selfies. The OnePlus 6T has a primary 16-megapixel sensor with OIS, which is coupled with a secondary 20-megapixel sensor. Selfies are taken care of by a 16-megapixel sensor on the handset.
