“The iPhone XI and XI Max are said to offer three cameras, while the iPhone XIR could offer two imaging sensors”
Several reports in the past have suggested that Apple will be releasing three new iPhones later this year. These are rumoured to be called the iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max, and iPhone XIR. Ahead of the unveiling, we’ve already seen a handful of renders of the upcoming iPhones. Now, images of the alleged case mouldings of the all three upcoming iPhone models have also hit the interwebs, which reveal a few details about the camera features.
Alleged next iPhone case moldings show what we discussed in our story last week in terms of new cameras. 3 on the high end, 2 on the new XR. Plus all models apparently getting a square, at least based on this one mold floating around. https://t.co/BhAFTZZL6u pic.twitter.com/QlNJTsApzX

As seen in the photo above, the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max could feature three cameras with LED flash and microphone at the rear, placed in a protruding square module. Both the handsets are expected to be different in terms of display and battery size. As for the iPhone XIR, the leaked image suggests that the phone will feature dual vertically placed primary cameras at the rear, which will also be placed in a square module like the other two upcoming iPhone models. Notably, the photo indicates that the iPhone XIR will be bigger than the iPhone XI, just like the iPhone XS and iPhone XR. Sadly, the source hasn’t revealed anything else about the upcoming iPhones.
According to the earlier reports, the iPhone XI will feature a 5.8-inch screen, while the iPhone XI Max could offer a 6.5-inch display. As for the more affordable iPhone XIR, the phone is expected to offer a 6.1-inch LCD display. All three are expected to offer slightly slimmer bezels than their predecessors, and retail the Face ID tech for unlocking the device and making secure payments. All new models are said to pack the new 7nm fabrication process based Apple A13 chipset, which is expected to offer improved battery life than the earlier iPhones.
Just like every year, Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhones at an event in September. Since the launch is quite far away, we can expect the rumour mill to churn out more details about the upcoming phones in the coming months.
