Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite went official on Friday alongside the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. Now, Flipkart has started teasing the Galaxy S10 Lite launch in India by setting up a dedicated page. The page mentions that the Galaxy S10 Lite will be “coming soon” but there is no launch date set as of yet. The Flipkart teaser not only confirms that the Galaxy S10 Lite will be available on the e-commerce website, but it also teases some key features of the affordable flagship phone. The Galaxy S10 Lite touts a 48MP triple camera setup with Super Steady OIS and will be the first in the Galaxy S10 series to launch with a Snapdragon 855 SoC in India. To recall, the Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10 Plus launched with an Exynos 9820 SoC last year.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite expected price in India
Following the global launch of the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite on Friday, SamMobile revealed the prices for the two smartphones. The Galaxy S10 Lite price will start at 649 euro, which roughly translates to Rs 52,000. But do note that the official Indian pricing could be more affordable than the European price of the Galaxy S10 Lite.
Seeing as how Samsung is touting these new Galaxy Lite phones as an affordable flagship smartphones, we expected the Galaxy S10 Lite price in India to fall below Rs 50,000. The Galaxy S10e, which was also launched as an affordable flagship, is currently selling in India for Rs 47,900. It would make sense for the Galaxy S10 Lite to cost lower than the Galaxy S10e in India.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite specifications
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ (2400×1080) Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a center-alinged punch-hole cutout. It is powered by a 2.8Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC based on a 7nm process. The chipset is paired with 6GB and 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. This is notably the first Galaxy S10 series phone that will launch in India with a Snapdragon processor.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite gets a triple camera setup on the back that includes a 48MP primary camera with Super Steady OIS, a 12MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 5MP macro lens. Up front, the phone gets a 32MP selfie camera. Galaxy S10 Lite houses a 4,500mAh battery and ships with Android 10 with One UI 2.0 on top. The Galaxy S10 Lite will be available in Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Blue colours.
