Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro are set to launch in India on March 5th, the company confirmed on Wednesday. Realme posted a tweet confirming the Realme 6 series launch date as well as revealing Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the new brand ambassador. The company has posted an image of the Bollywood actor posing with the upcoming Realme 6 or Realme 6 Pro, revealing the smartphone will feature a pill-shaped dual punch-hole cutout for dual selfie cameras. On March 5th, Realme will not only launch the Realme 6 series, but also the Realme Band. The launch event will begin at 12:30 PM IST and will likely be live-streamed.

Realme 6 series specifications
The vanilla Realme 6 has been rumoured in the past to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G90 processor. Both the Realme 6 and 6 Pro smartphones are expected to ship with Android 10-based Realme UI. While the Realme 6 Pro will sport a dual punch-hole display, the regular Realme 6 may feature a typical waterdrop display.
Much like the Realme 5 series, the Realme 6 series will highlight quad rear cameras. Again, it’s the Pro model that will likely feature the 64MP primary sensor. The vanilla Realme 6 could either sport a 64MP or 48MP main camera, either of which would be a significant improvement over the 12MP sensor on the Realme 5.
Both the phones are expected to house large batteries as well, but there is much that is still a mystery about the two Realme 6 smartphones. The company is expect to tease key specifications of the Realme 6 and 6 Pro phones in the days leading up to their launch on March 5th.
Realme is also expected to launch the Realme 6i later this year as the smartphone has been spotted on the FCC certification site. Live images of the Realme 6i also reveal a 48MP quad camera setup and a Type-C port.
