“Samsung Galaxy S20-series could be the first in the world to offer up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM as Micron’s 16GB LPDDR5 is not expected until the second half of the year”
Xiaomi already confirmed that it’ll be using the latest Micron LPDDR5 RAM on its upcoming Mi 10 series phones and these will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. Now, rumours on Weibo suggest that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 series would come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 as standard. The high-end models of the line-up are expected to come with up to 16GB RAM. Samsung will likely use its very own LPDDR5 memory and not Micron’s. This means the South Korean will be the first in the world to offer up to 16GB LPDDR5 smartphone as Micron’s 16GB LPDDR5 is not expected until the second half of the year.
