  • Mysterious Realme phone’s live image surfaces online; shows Reno-like rear design
  • Highlights
    • The mysterious Realme phone has triple cameras on the back, OPPO Reno-like vertical stripe from to bottom, and carbon-like finish
    • It could be Realme’s gaming phone or just be a prototype of an upcoming phone

Realme X3, Realme X3 SuperZoom Edition, and Realme X3 Pro are tipped to be in active development. However, the company could be working on another smartphone with a completely new design as the live image has surfaced on Weibo, courtesy Digital Chat Station. The design is in similar lines as the OPPO’s Reno phones with a vertical stripe from top to bottom. The handset has triple cameras and a carbon-like finish. While there is a possibility it could be the Realme’s gaming phone, it could just be a prototype of an upcoming phone. Unfortunately, not much else can be said about the Realme phone at the moment, but the design change should be a welcome change finally.

Separately, Realme X3 SuperZoom smartphone with model number RMX2086 had recently bagged Bluetooth SIG certification after clearing Thailand’s NBTC certification and BIS in India. The handset is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 12GB RAM, and boot Android 10 OS with Realme UI skin on top. The Realme X3 SuperZoom has managed to score 788 points in the single-core test and 2,624 in the multi-core test. it is also tipped to come with a large 108MP primary camera and should offer impressive zoom capabilities.

On the other hand, the Realme X3 was spotted on TENAA, revealing design and complete specifications. It is said to flaunt a 6.57-inch full HD+ display with 2,400 × 1,080 pixels resolution and be powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core processor. But the chipset details are a mystery. The Realme X3 will be available in three models: 6GB + 64GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage that should be further expandable via microSD card. The handset runs on Android 10, probably skinned with the Realme UI custom skin on top. As for the cameras, the phone will have a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP lens, and a couple of 2MP sensors. On the front, it will have a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary lens. It packs a 4,100mAh battery.
