Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is tipped to launch in August alongside the rumoured Galaxy Fold 2. As we inch closer to the said announcement, leaks and rumours started flowing revealing specific details about the flagships. The Galaxy Note 20 models are expected to retain a similar design and hardware as the Galaxy S20 phones, but with square-ish edges and S pen support. The recently leaked CAD-based renders reiterate the same. Now, some details about the Galaxy Note 20+ camera configuration have leaked, courtesy tipster Ice Universe. Separately, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra name has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ camera specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ is said to feature a 108MP 1/1.33 HM1 sensor, similar to the one seen on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The main camera will be paired by a 13MP Samsung Slim 3M5 periscope lens, and a 12MP 1/2.55″ ultra-wide-angle lens. It is also tipped to feature a laser focus sensor instead of ToF camera and the periscope telephoto zoom will be limited to 50x and will not support 100x zoom like the Galaxy S20 Ultra. As for the other specifications of the Galaxy Note 20+, earlier reports said it will ship with Exynos 992 SoC, improved 120Hz panel and a bigger 6.9-inch display.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra name confirmed
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with the model number SM-N986U has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification site, which confirms its existence. However, Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants said there won’t be an Ultra model in the Note 20 series. The model number was earlier linked to the Galaxy Note 20+, but it seems to belong to the Note 20 Ultra now. The listing shows it’ll have Bluetooth 5.0 and not Bluetooth 5.1, which is disappointing for a flagship.
