OPPO A53 has been officially announced in Indonesia as a new entrant to the company’s A-series of phones. It will succeed OPPO A52 that was launched in India in June. The OPPO A53 retains the punch-hole cutout and square camera module at the back and upgrades the display to a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone runs on Android 10 and is powered by the Snapdragon 460 SoC. The OPPO A53 also features a triple camera setup at the back arranged and a physical fingerprint sensor for security.

OPPO A53 price in Indonesia is Rp 2,499,000 (around 12,700) for the single variant 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The handset will be available in Electric Black and Fancy Blue colour options.

OPPO A53 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 1,600 X 720 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 460 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.2 custom skin on top. As for the optics, the OPPO A53 will have a triple camera setup at the back with a 16MP primary camera and a couple of 2MP sensors. On the front, there is a 16MP snapper for selfies and video chats.

The OPPO A53 packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.
