The biggest difference between Samsung’s Galaxy S series and the Note series has been the S Pen. Without the S Pen, the Galaxy Note 20 series, for example, becomes quite similar to the Galaxy S20 series in terms of screen size, design, and hardware. The line between the two series has been blurring in recent years and it seems inevitable for the two to overlap. This might just happen in 2021 as a new report from The Elec Korea website suggests that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will arrive with an S Pen.

As per the report, the S Pen could come to the Galaxy S series for the first time next year. The top-end model of the Galaxy S21 series, presumably called Galaxy S21 Ultra, will be equipped with a stylus. The report adds that the launch of the Galaxy Note 21 next year is unclear at the moment. It seems Samsung may be looking to end the Note line and replace it with the Galaxy Z Fold series. Nothing is for certain as of now.
In a recent leak, well-known tipster Ishan Agarwal suggested that the upcoming Galaxy S21 is reportedly codenamed as “Unbound” with M1, N2, and O3 variants. He also added that the O3 variant will arrive with an S-Pen.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Series Code name is ‘Unbound’.
3 devices in development: M1, N2 & O3.
The device O3 will have an S-Pen. Rumors about Samsung dropping Note series really coming true? 😮 https://t.co/zqYJxeCPxk
With foldable phones being the next major focus for Samsung, it would make sense to prioritise the Galaxy Z Fold series. Currently, Samsung is capable of producing 600,000 foldable displays per month. The company is reportedly aiming to increase this number to 1 million by the end of the year.
