OPPO A91 and OPPO A8 smartphones have been officially unveiled in China ahead of the Reno 3 5G and Reno 3 Pro 5G launch on December 26th. While the OPPO A91 rocks a vertically-arranged quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor, the A8 has a triple camera setup. The MediaTek Helio chipsets power both the phones, which run on ColorOS 6.1. The OPPO A91 rocks an in-display fingerprint sensor, while the OPPO A8 has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
OPPO A91 and OPPO A8 prices
The OPPO A91 is priced at RMB 1,999 (around Rs 20,300) and will be available in Black, Red, and Blue colours. On the other hand, the OPPO A8 is cheaper and costs RMB 1,199 (around Rs 12,200) and comes in Azure and Secret Night Black. Both phones will be available from December 26th.

The OPPO A91 flaunts a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, in-display fingerprint sensor, 90.7 screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It comes with DC Dimming too. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. It runs on ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie.
In terms of optics, the OPPO A91 packs a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter with a 119-degree field of view, a dedicated macro camera, and a depth sensor. The resolution of the selfie camera hasn’t been revealed. A 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology fuels the handset. OPPO claims that it can charge the phone from 0-60 percent in just 30 minutes.
OPPO A8
OPPO A8 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720 x 1,600 pixels resolution and an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. In terms of optics, the OPPO A8 has a 12MP primary camera, a 2-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP sensor for selfies and video chats. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. It packs a 4,230mAh battery.
