Nokia 5.3 mid-range phone debuted back in March alongside Nokia 8.3, 1.3 and 5310 feature phone. The handset was listed on the Indian website, suggesting it will indeed launch in the country. Now, The Mobile Indian citing sources familiar with the matter reports the Nokia 5.3 will launch in India in August alongside a couple of other phones. However, the marketing names of the other phones and the exact India launch date are not known at the moment. Interestingly, four mysterious Nokia phone models received Bluetooth certification this week and there’s a possibility some of these may launch in India alongside the Nokia 5.3.
Nokia 5.3 specifications
The Nokia 5.3 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch to accommodate the selfie camera and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer. The phone ships with the mid-range Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with Adreno 610 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that is further expandable via microSD card. It runs on Android 10 OS with a promise to two years of software updates. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and aptX HD audio.
As for the cameras, Nokia 5.3 has a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. There is an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. The phone houses a 4,000mAh battery that promises a 2-day battery life. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port and NFC.
