Redmi 9 Prime (Review) was launched in India earlier this month and went on sale for the first time on August 6th. If you happened to miss out on that sale, you will get another chance to purchase the device on Monday, August 17th. The Redmi 9 Prime is the first time Xiaomi is launching a ‘Prime’ phone in years. The company believes the Prime series sits perfectly between the entry-level Redmi phones and the Redmi Note series. Redmi 9 Prime: Should you buy it?
Overall, the Redmi 9 Prime is one of the best phones to buy under Rs 10,000. But at Rs 11,999, we would suggest buying the Redmi Note 9 or Realme Narzo 10 instead.
In our review of the Redmi 9 Prime, we said that it has all the making to be the new go-to phone under Rs 10,000. Indeed, it’s starting price makes it an attractive deal for anyone looking for a budget phone with a great display. The phone also offers decent performance and a long-lasting battery. We do miss the fact that the phone does not come with a fast charger in the box and a dedicated Night mode for the camera, but these issues can be ignored at this price point.
