Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new Mi 10-series phone in the UK later this month. The company has confirmed the handset will ship with an upcoming brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7xx-series chipset with 5G connectivity. Unlike the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and Mi 10 Ultra, which are premium flagships, the upcoming Mi 10 series phone will be priced under £300 (about Rs 30,000) and Xiaomi is promoting it as “5G For Everyone” and “amazing value for money.” While it’s not confirmed, the upcoming phone could be a part of the rumoured Mi 10T line-up that is expected to feature three models — Mi 10T Lite, Mi 10T, and Mi 10T Pro.
Considering the company is teasing it as an affordable model, the handset could be the Mi 10T Lite. While we’ve heard bits and pieces about the vanilla Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro, the Lite has managed to stay a secret from the rumour mill. We can speculate it may have a quad-camera setup at the back, a punch-hole design in the front for the selfie snapper, and Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 custom skin on top. It could be one of the cheapest 5G phones from Xiaomi.
Separately, we’ve recently come across alleged live images of the Mi 10T Pro. It is said to come with a 108MP triple-camera layout and a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner to house the selfie snapper. The handset is likely to boot Android 10 OS out of the box. Speculations are rife that it will ship with a 144Hz display and a 5,000mAh battery. Since it is the Pro model, the phone could be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC.
