Motorola has launched two new smartphones, called Moto G Fast and Moto E 2020, in the US. The Moto G Fast is the latest mid-range offering with triple rear cameras, octa-core Snapdragon 665 chipset, 4,000mAh battery, and 8MP front camera. The Moto E 2020, on the other hand, has been priced in the affordable segment and packs dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 632 chipset, 3,550mAh battery, and 5MP selfie shooter. Apart from this, both phones ship with HD+ MaxVision displays, water-repellent designs, rear-mounted fingerprint scanners, and Android 10.
Moto G Fast, Moto E 2020 price and availability
The Moto G Fast has been priced at $199.99 (~Rs 15,100), whereas the Moto E 2020 comes with a sticker price of $149.99 (~Rs 11,350). The handsets will go for sale in the US from June 12th onwards via Best Buy, B&H Photo, Walmart, Amazon.com and Motorola.com. The Moto G Fast and Moto E 2020 come in Pearl White and Midnight Blue colours respectively.
Moto G Fast specifications
The Moto G Fast sports a 6.4-inch HD+ IPS Max Vision display with 720 x 1,560p resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and waterdrop notch atop. The phone is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 665 11nm chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The phone has 32GB storage onboard, which can be further expanded up to 512GB using microSD card. The handset runs Android 10 OS out of the box and features hybrid dual SIM slots.
The Moto G Fast’s triple rear cameras include a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, assisted by an LED flash, 8MP 118-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and 2MP 2cm macro sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera features an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. Connectivity features include 3.5mm audio jack, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C port. A 4,000mAh battery with 10W charging drives the entire setup. Lastly, the Moto G Fast measures 161.87mm x 75.7mm x 9.05mm and weighs 189.4 grams.
Moto E 2020 specifications
The Moto E 2020 also runs Android 10 out of the box. It features slightly smaller 6.2-inch HD+ IPS MaxVision display with 19:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop notch atop. The handset rocks 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 632 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 32GB user-expandable storage under the hood. For photography, the phone sports dual rear cameras with 13MP f/2.0 primary sensor and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The front camera gets a 5MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Other features include 3,550mAh battery, 5W charging, and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Moto E 2020 connectivity options are the same as its G Fast.
